Interaction Not Working? — 6-Step Checklist
The systematic check that solves most 'effects don't respond' reports: sensor window, alignment, lighting conditions, calibration and settings.
Work Through These in Order
- Clean the sensor window. Dust or smears on the IR camera window reduce sensitivity drastically. Dry microfiber cloth, gently.
- Check the IR fill light. It should glow faintly (850 nm, deep red, barely visible in dark). If it's off, the sensor has no illumination — check settings and power.
- Verify mounting hasn't shifted. A bumped bracket moves the sensing zone away from the image. Re-run sensor-to-image alignment from the menu.
- Check ambient light changes. Strong direct sunlight or new halogen lamps can swamp the IR camera. Close blinds or reposition; outdoor-rated models handle sun better.
- Re-run sensor calibration. Follow the on-screen wizard; keep the area clear during calibration.
- Confirm play mode. In on-demand mode some contents wait for a trigger command — switch to loop mode to test interactions.
Still Not Responding?
Record a short video of the unit, the projected image and someone interacting, then send it to support with your model and firmware version. Factory-direct customers get engineer-level diagnosis, usually within one business day.
